How to Get Involved: KIB - Riverside Cleanup

May 28, 2017

Happy Monday! Today is the start of a new week, but it can also be the start of a fresh service commitment. And It’s My City wants to help you do that. In fact, you could say it’s our one of our biggest goals.

Residents of Indianapolis, we are calling you to join the cause. Getting involved with IMC has never been easier. To show you how easy it is, just two weeks ago the Wedgewood Neighborhood worked with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful to organize a Great Indy Cleanup and collected over 140 lbs. of trash!

The cleanup attracted 12 children ranging in ages from 5 to 14 who competed to see who could collected the most trash. Prizes were awarded to the top three collectors with first place collecting a whopping 35 lbs., second place with 30 lbs., and last by not least third place with 20 lbs.

You, too, could put on a neighborhood cleanup! Or, if that’s not your speed you can participate in the Riverside Cleanup.

Events like this happen all the time! Check out our Events page for all the events you can handle. If you don’t see an event in your neighborhood … hop over to and organize one for your neighborhood.
